Mains

Two Course Share Platters (Price Per Person)
In Eritrea, a meal is a collective experience whereby family and friends share food from a large platter filled with layers of injera topped with a delicious assortment of spicy stews and vegetarian dishes. Eating involves tearing off a piece of enjera bread and wrapping it around a portion of food, then eating without the use of cutlery. How it works - 1) All share platters come with a complimentary share entrée of ENJERA & DIPS (v), which is a sourdough flatbread with an assortment of 4 homemade vegetable dips included are Shiro, Silsi, salsa & yogurt, cucumber & garlic. Make your choice from the Starters Menu. 2) Choose your selection from our Main menu of vegan, meat and seafood dishes your table. 3) All dishes are served with Enjera & Mu’ooz salata. However, if you did prefer to replace Enjera with rice just let us know, or as an extra side dish.

FuFu
Fufu (or foofoo or foufou) is possibly one the most famous west African ”swallow” foods. Also called Ga'aat in Eritrea, or Ugali in Kenya, It is a filling side dish – starchy, smooth, dense, and stretchy that is much beloved because it is delicious, simple & satisfying. FuFu is served with any of the main dishes.

Traditional African Coffee & Tea
At the end of an Eritrean meal fresh African coffee beans are roasted and guests are offered to smell the strong aroma of the coffee. The beans are then ground and put in a traditional clay vessel called a ‘Jebena’ and boiled. The coffee is traditionally served black in a small espresso cups.
